Mark A. Ellmore, Jr. was born January 1958 and grew up on a farm in Covington, Indiana. His father was a farmer and volunteer fireman for Covington Fire Department in Fountain County, Indiana. His mother was an elementary school teacher and homemaker.
|
The youngest of three children, Ellmore worked on the family farm since age 11. He made elementary school history by bringing a chipmunk, against his parent’s direct order, to school. The chipmunk escaped its’ box, bit three children, caused a teacher to faint and then the chipmunk promptly died of a heart attack. His parents had to send the chipmunk to Chicago for an autopsy to determine whether the chipmunk had rabies. Perhaps his parent’s form of solitary confinement had a direct influence on his decision to become an attorney! |
